Intern Teacher, January-April 2002
Teach a diverse and active group of twenty-four fourth graders in all academic content areas.  Use a variety of teaching techniques to develop lessons based on the individual needs of the students.  Contribute to a positive and accepting classroom environment.

Junior Achievement Instructor, February-March 2002
Taught two fourth grade and one self-contained special education class a comprehensive unit on community.  Maintained a focus that teachers students the natural, capital, and human resources that are available to them in their surrounding area.  Helped students discover their place in their community through a variety of hands-on activities.

Developed, instructed, and provided assessment for twelve weeks of math and science lessons for a group of twenty-eight fifth graders from a variety of cultural backgrounds.  Worked with the classroom teacher to develop incentive programs and classroom management plans.

Developed and co-taught a comprehensive drama unit to twenty-five sixth graders.  Subjects included a study of the Berlin Wall and oral story telling.
