Self-Development
Marva Collins

Self-Development is a constant assessment of myself as a teacher.  After each lesson, I will take notes on student performance and assess whether or not there needs to be a change in my presentation of the lesson.  If many of my students are not understanding the concept, then I need to take a close look at myself and what I need to change to reach those students.

Teaching is a lifelong learning commitment.  As a teacher, I will never profess to know everything.  I will be learning from my students each day I am in the classroom.  I will also take advantage of any learning opportunity my school district provides.  I believe that the more I can learn, the better teacher I will be.

You are never finished learning when you are a teacher!
