Hand Signals
I will be using a system of hand raising that will let me know the needs of the students more quickly. This system was taught to me by Mr. Moore, a fourth grade teacher at Winchell Elementary.  When a student is asking to use the restroom, they will hold up one finger. Asking to sharpen a pencil is two fingers, getting a drink of water is three fingers, work completed is four fingers, and a general question is five fingers. This system allows me to deal with the student's needs without a lot of unnecessary interruptions.
